Day 2 of my 2 week no food (Jelly and Soup) pre op Liver Diet
Hi All,
Here we are the end of day 2 on my no food "Jelly and Soup pre operative (Gastric Bypass) liver shrinking diet".
Its been a hard day, ALL day I have been craving KFC, I did think at one point if I just go and have something its only day 2 and I will have 12 days to get over it, and although I think I could have got away with it, I DID NOT GIVE IN. I'm hoping the cravings will get easier, I'm sure they will, but I know I will start to feel more ill over the next few days as my body adjust to not eating anything at all. Although at one point I did actually say to Chris (Bondy of the forum) " would he buy a KFC Wrapstar and give me a bite" he said "NO I am doing the diet with you so NO chance" I was only joking but probably would have had a bite if he said ok, so I'm sooooooo glad he stuck with me.
I have still not actually felt hungry, although in reality I don't know what hunger is, I have never gone for more than hours without food, and have never really felt hungry in the past, only had cravings for food. So I'm a bit mixed up between "am I craving, or am I hungry". I know I will get hungry going without food, but I'm just trying to drink lots and keep my stomach full of liquid to keep the empty feelings away.
11pm tonight I was really feeling like I wanted to eat, not
hungry still, but just wanting to eat (and eat lots) so I went
down and had a Jelly and a cup of Oxo drink, made with just one
lamb Oxo cube and hot water, it actually satisfied me quite a
lot, and dink really tasted like lamb and mint, although it did
make me feel like I wanted a full lamb shank to myself with
roast potatoes or chips

BELOW IS TODAY'S INTAKE, and tomorrow I will post up a copy of the liquids I'm aloud to drink for the 2 weeks, so you can see.
I'm remembering to take the vitamins that have been
prescribed, and they don't taste bad or anything, in fact the
calcium are like sweets that fizz on your tongue which is nice,
except I want to eat the whole bottle
I have to take 2x 500mg Calcium, x2 500mg Iron, and full A-Z
Multivitamin every day, and have been warned not to take calcium
and iron together, as they react against each other.
Right now its nearly 2am, and I'm just off to bed, I am getting rumbling in my stomach now, and I'm a bit gassy too just hope I sleep well. night all.
Today's food (well drinks) I have had are detailed below...
Saturday 20th = Day2

10.30am = 1Pt vimto + Water With Calcium tablets x2
11.30am = 2 x 330ml Jelly's
